Objective & investment strategy: The objective of the fund is to outperform the TOPIX over a 3 rolling period. The strategy consists in building a highly diversified portfolio of stocks identified as slightly undervalued in comparison with stocks operating in similar industries. AXA Rosenberg investment process is based upon detailed analysis of fundamental data. Since 1985, AXA Rosenberg has refined a highly disciplined process that leverages the power of technology. By combining fundamental knowledge with technology AXA Rosenberg is able to comprehensively understand and assess a company's investment potential. Hence, the stock selection for this fund is realised by analysing nearly 200 balance sheet and profit & loss statement items to identify those companies which have the potential to generate superior future earnings and are currently undervalued relative to their peers. The risk model developed by AXA Rosenberg selects the most undervalued stocks while building portfolios with a risk profile similar to that of the benchmark in terms of industry, size and other risk factors. The systematic nature of the process results in a consistent, repeatable investment strategy.
